1510mm long  210mm wide at base Weight 3.5kg
This enormous specimen is ONE the largest I have had and was caught off Daru in Papua New Guinea in about 1970. The fish itself  measured around 5.5 metres.
It is in very good order with all the teeth - slight natural deformity to one on LHS 3rd from top

The Melongenas (Melongenidae) are carnivores feeding on on clams and snails. This is the world's largest species of gastropod and can grow to over 2 feet long.
